One of the earliest forms of bows. The Holmegaard bows were discovered in bogs in Denmark. Exquisitely preserved in their low oxygen environment, the Holmegaard bows are complete and date to the Mesolithic era (approximately 10,000 BC to 5,000 BC).
We bring to you the ancient Holmegaard bow, based on archeological finds from Denmark in the 1940s. The Holmegaard has a distinctive shape, with wide limbs that transition into a narrow yet deep grip section. The limbs taper to a significant degree towards the knocks.
This bow is made from Osage Orange.
